Food- The Illini Indians ate maize, wild rice, pumpkins, squash, fish, beans, wild plants, nuts, berries, honey, beaver, elk, muskrat, raccoons, deer, bison, bears, and, of course, buffalo.
Clothing- The men wore a buckskin cloak, a scarf, trade shirt, and other fashionable accessories, such as a nose hoop, feathers on the head, and face paint.
  Shelter- In the spring and summer, they lived in teepees, but in the fall and winter seasons lived in a wigwams.
  Culture-
Entertainment: An important ceremony was the calumet dance. This dance was for the god of peace and war. Carrying calumet, let them travel unharmed. For fun they also beaded.

Religion: They believe in supernatural meaning, and natural objects which are imbued with ensure communal and individual prosperity.

Arts: They practiced beadwork and they made masks which were worn on the head.

Family Life: The men hunted and dealt with warfare, while the women worked in the fields. The women also did much of the work around the camp and village. Spoke Algonqin.
