| The Process
1. You may work individually or in a group of 2-3 students. 2. Find a map and the flag of your country. 3. You are responsible for finding information on the following topics for a Quick Facts: a.Area of the country in sq.mi. and sq.km. b.Population and the breakdown of the various groups of people who make up the total population. c.Type of government. d.Major religions. e.Capital city. f.Largest city 4. The climate and/or climate regions of the country should be described and illustrated if possible. 5. The general geography of the country should be described with references to major rivers, lakes, mountains, basins, plateaus, etc. Pictures of these major features should be provided, if possible; and linked to a site that has more detailed information. If no picture can be found, link the the site to the name of the major feature. 6. Provide the name and a picture of 3-5 major cities of the country and link each one to at least one website that provides more detailed information. With each city's name also put the population and any major products, services, or events that are special about that city. 7. Present the names of at least 5 major tourist attractions along with a picure and brief description. Link each attraction to a site that provides more detailed information. 8. All of the information can be placed on the provided template. Open in Netscape Communicator and choose the File...Edit Page option. 9. You must also provide 5 questions about your country that your classmates will be able to answer by viewing the webpage. 10. Each group will find the answers to the questions from the other groups. |

The evaluation of the webpage is based on the provided rubric. You will be provided with a copy of this rubric and have it explained to you before you begin this webquest. That way you will know what is expected of you when you begin your research. |
| Conclusion
This webquest should have given you some fairly extensive knowledge about your particular country, while also familiarizing you with the countries of your classmates. |
