In Science, we have been learning
about machines and electricity. Mrs. Shimmin brought to school an
incubator and 3 doz. chicken eggs to set. After 10 days, Mr. Shimmin came
and candled the eggs. We were able to see veins in the eggs that
were fertile. On day 20, two of our eggs had hatched. We put
them into a box with a heat lamp to keep them warm and gave them food and
water. On day 21, seven more chicks hatched. Mrs. Shimmin will
be taking the chicks to her farm to raise them. It's been interesting
to see how machines and electricity can work together to help create life. |
